“Prairie Colors” was woven on the Saffron loom at 8EPI, 12/6 cotton seine twine. The weft is all Faro (3 strands) except for the “buds” which were an unknown yarn given to me. Both the stems and buds are done in a Soumak technique.

I used “weftovers” (not my term, but I like it!) for the entire piece.

The size is 9.75” by 5.5”.
