Want to Learn Tapestry?
Update: The dates for this event have been postponed until August 28-31. I will post details as they become available.
I’ll be teaching in Loveland, CO at Interweave YarnFest from April 30th to May 2nd. Five classes, so something to choose from even if you’ve never touched a loom. There’s a class Friday morning for building your own frame loom for those that don’t want or need instruction beyond that. It’s also a good class to take for anyone that wants to by-pass - or can’t attend - the (all-day Thursday) Tapestry 101 class but intends to take one of the other classes that require a loom.
Friday afternoon is Tapestry 201, a continuation of 101 with alternate methods of techniques learned in 101 along with new ones such as hatching and outlining.
Saturday morning starts with Eccentric Weft, one of my favorite tapestry techniques. Think hills and valleys and (almost) any shape your heart desires. The last class is Saturday afternoon: Let’s Get Crazy with Tapestry. This is where your creativity soars and the sky’s the limit!
Oh, and if California in February is more to your liking (or you simply can’t wait!), I’ll be teaching 2 of these classes at Stitches West!
I hope you can join me! If you have any questions about any of these classes, please comment below- or send me an email. I’ll be happy to hear from you!
